Scottish Designer Of The Year

The Scottish Fashion Awards were held last night and Graeme Black scooped the award for Scottish Designer Of The Year.
Graeme graduated from Edinburgh University in 1989, he then moved to Italy in 1993 he worked as a designer for Les Copains and then for Giorgio Armani.
He then became head designer at Borgonuovo black label.
In 2004 he set up his own independent studio in Milan where he worked on collections for international companies.

Johnathan Saunders and Christopher Kane were also nominated for the award.
Johnathan graduated from Glasgow School Of Art in 1999, and then graduated from the well known fashion college Central St Martins in 2002.
Christopher Kane graduated from Central St Martins in 2006, in 2005 he had attracted the attention of Donatella Versace after winning the LancĂ´me Colour Award.
Donatella later compared him to her late brother Gianni Versace.
